Transportation Engineer - Regional DOT Design Practice
Leader and Project Manager

We are looking for a Lead Transportation Engineer &
Project Manager to manage our Transportation Design
business and grow its reach across Florida and within

the Southeast Region. The position will involve:
  • Leading project marketing, work planning, scope
development and fee estimating
  • Meeting with key clients, particularly within FDOT,
to share your and the team’s talent for solving
complex issues with innovative solutions
  • Performing project management duties required to
successfully deliver the project within scope,
schedule, and budget to the client's satisfaction
  • Staying abreast of new and innovative approaches to
solving Transportation Design challenges
  • Directing and mentoring highway design staff and
coordinating multiple disciplines across Tetra
Tech’s broad US geography

Job Requirements:
What kind of candidate are we looking for?
We’re looking for a seasoned professional with a track
record of successfully designing and implementing
transportation design projects. We are in need of an
individual who has the technical expertise, but also has
the ability and desire to manage projects and develop
business with both current and new clients. Previous
experience designing and managing projects with FDOT is

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, plus 15+
years of experience
  • Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) roadway
design/production experience required
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or
the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Proficiency with Microstation and Geopak is a must
  • Excellent communication and team building skills
