Responsibilities
Coders Utilizes ICD 9 CM and CPT 4 systems to code abstract diagnoses and surgical procedures. Completes MS-DRG and APC assignments on patients records to facilitate reimbursement, research, statistical compilation and analysis in compliance with accrediting and regulatory requirements
Queries the medical staff as appropriate to obtain the most accurate DRG assignment
