The purpose of this job is to conduct and manage inside sales activities to accomplish regional sales plans within established policies and procedures. Additionally, this position is responsible for overseeing daily pricing policy enforcement and oversight for mill booking and product availability within their respective Region. Responsible for daily supervision and coaching of a regional inside sales team, order entry, and office staff to accomplish these sales plans.
Assists National Sales Manager in promoting continuous improvement in Order Fulfillment and Customer Service, fostering a culture based on current Best Practices.
Responsible for the development and implementation of production and delivery schedules, volume offerings, and product mix to provide the best opportunity for achieving objectives.
Participates in the hiring process for Sales Coordinators and Account Managers.
Assist National Sales Manager in supervision, orientation and training of Sales Coordinators and Account Managers in disciplines that will improve performance.
Key liaison with logistics management, ensuring day-to-day execution of delivery schedules.
Execute within Order Fulfillment process.
Provide excellent Customer Service, based on best practices.
Develop self to ensure personal and professional growth.
Execute weekly mill/trader call that achieves desired production and delivery schedules.
Responsible for the execution of Regional Sales Plans (e.g. Sales Metrics).
Responsible for developing and implementing daily regional pricing strategy, order-file management, and VMI management.
Initiate and monitor new programs in account development process.
Facilitate efforts with Sales Coordinators to ensure superior customer service levels are achieved (internal/external).
Manage high-profile accounts (quoting, negotiating, problem resolution, etc).
Lead and manage secondary sales areas (i.e. job quotes, builder programs, export sales, multifamily projects, etc.)
Participate in customers’ trade shows and customer outings (meetings, representations, booth set-up, etc).
Contribute to performance improvements in all areas including sales, logistics & customer service; monitor industry developments and Best Practices.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with external & internal customers and assigned account base.
Coordinate with Logistics and mill shipping personnel, ensuring day-to-day execution of delivery schedules.
Engage the customer, in unison with Warranty Customer Service, to resolve claims/complaints.
Participate in coordinating improvement efforts with internal customers.
Maintain relationships between the regional sales offices and field sales resources.
Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and corporate policy and regulations.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Knowledge of manufacturing/operation/logistics capabilities.
Strong knowledge of market trends, market drivers, and supply chain.
Ability to employ negotiating strategies and gather market intelligence.
Thorough knowledge of product performance, applications, and warranties.

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
3 to 5 year’s previous forest products sales experience.
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
