INTERN - EUV Lab Simulation
There are several modules that need simulation. For example, developing a program on a PC could simulate a number of cameras by playing back images in a loop and outputting this data stream instead of needing to have an actual camera.
Develop an understanding of the requirements for each simulator and process the simulator through the entire SW life-cycle. Fundamentally, this requires that the delivered products meet the need of the lab simulation.
There are multiple PC based simulators that will need to be developed. Working closely with the intern, we will determine which ones are reasonable to complete within the available schedule and skill set.
Contribution to Cymer:
Much of the equipment we need for testing subsystems is extremely expensive or rare. Not having devices, such as very high resolution cameras, may gate testing or it may require altering the very object we are testing. Having a full suite of simulation is very valuable for both schedule and thoroughness of testing.
Benefit/Experience for Intern:
The intern will have a close-up view of probably the most complex development activity in the Semi-conductor industry. There is the opportunity to gain real work experience elbow to elbow with senior engineers and scientists. This project is envisioned as integral, not ancillary, to the rest of the team.
Intern Qualifications/Experience Desired:
The intern needs to have experience with PCs and a language such as C# or JAVA. He or She must be comfortable working around electronics and in an electronics lab environment. Familiarity with Oscilloscopes is a plus. The intern must have a CS background but can be in a CS or EE program.
