DESCRIPTION

Our Dakota Apartment Program Supportive Housing has an open position for a full-time Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker(495003 INTERNAL). This staff provides services to adults with a variety of mental health diagnoses or disabilities. There is no requirement that clients (adults 18+) served by Dakota Apartment Program have a particular diagnosis. Most clients have a significant mental health component in their service plan. Their diagnoses or disabilities may include mental illness, traumatic brain injury, learning disabilities or cognitive impairment, and other related conditions.

Typical hours for the position are Monday - Friday, 12:00am - 8:30am. Additional hours are available.

DUTIES

This position will provide support and supervision of clients living in the program within the guidelines of each client's Goal Plan, Emergency Plan and Risk Management Plan.

Assist clients with problem solving and daily concerns
Supervise and educate clients in Independent Living Skills (ILS)
Participate in recreational activities with clients
Support clients in medication management
Log observable behaviors and progress
Participate in basic house maintenance, cleaning, and record keeping

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 21 years of age
High school Diploma or equivalent
Current, valid driver's license
Excellent driving record
Current, valid auto insurance

AND ONE of the following:
Associate's Degree in behavioral science or human services
Registered Nurse without a Bachelor's degree
In the final two years before obtaining a bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field

Within the previous ten years has:
Two years of personal life experience with serious and persistent mental illness
Two years life experience as primary care giver to an adult with a serious mental illness or traumatic brain injury
2000 hours of supervised paid work experience in the delivery of mental health services to adults with a serious mental illness or traumatic brain injury
