The IP Network Audit Analyst is responsible for performing system level audits of the Public IP network trunks for the Public Data Networks Engineering department. This requires interaction with multiple teams within Company, both internal and external to the department, responsible for engineering and capacity managing the trunks. The prospective candidate must be highly detail oriented, have excellent oral and written communication skills, be people oriented, and take direction well.
Ability to effectively navigate network inventory systems retrieving end-to-end circuit designs for Public IP network trunks.
Gain a complete and thorough understanding of Public IP network diversity requirements.
Compare Public IP network trunks identifying any diversity violations that exist.
Document in a clear and concise manner all Public IP trunks audited, associated trunk designs, and any diversity violations that exist.
Interact with network engineers regarding any uncertainties about a trunk design.
Interact with capacity engineers to identify trunk pairings and resolve any pairing issues.
Must have self-confidence to question issues that are not understood or not fully documented.

DESIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of transport systems; ULH, ROADM, IOS Rings, SONET, Ethernet
Previous experience as a circuit designer and/or provisioner
3-5 years experience in the telecommunications industry
Knowledge of inventory systems; BGW, MECCA, TCOMS, TIRKS
Familiarity with DSL, Telecommunication, Public IP architectures
