The prospective candidate will be responsible for
providing Deck and Aviation Facilities-focused Liaison support to SEA
21 surface ships homeported throughout CONUS and OCONUS preparing for
INSURV Material Inspections. The individual will develop Deck and
Aviation trends and commonalities from INSURV inspection results,
providing recommendations for improvements that can be implemented in
acquisition or Availability planning.
candidate will work to convey the INSURV perspective toward material
improvement in specific shipboard Availability planning, and conduct
shipboard surveys in support of INSURV POA&M development.
Provides written assessments of material condition and crew
knowledge, combat readiness, and INSURV preparation progress to
SEA21A Readiness Manager, recommending where assistance can be
provided. Participates in post-INSURV "Hotwash" events to
capture Lessons Learned, and processes issues in order to improve
combat readiness. Acts as liaison between SEA21and Waterfront
Activities HM&E readiness and life-cycle support. This position

experienced former U.S. Navy officers with tours as Ship First
Lieutenant, Boatswain, ISIC/CLASSRON First Lieutenant, INSURV
inspectors, or Afloat Training Group members are encouraged to
