Brief Posting Description
Participates in wellbore cleanout programs. Reviews LOE recurring expenditures and major expense work over budget. Monitors conversion of field infrastructure at production complex. Performs wellsite supervision of contract workforce. Leads plug & abandonment efforts in deep HTHP (High Temp/High Pressure) field. Performs incident investigation, as required. Plans and coordinates outside activities beyond normal field operations. Monitors production rate of gas or oil from established wells and plans rework process to correct well production such as repacking of well bore and additional perforation of subsurface sands adjacent to well bottom. Sets priorities for well, facility and construction operations. Recommends supplementary processes to enhance recovery. Provides well work, construction options and cost estimates for the area
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Petroleum Engineering and three years production engineering experience in the oil and gas industry including working with a multi-disciplined team on prospect evaluations and development options; monitoring production rates of gas or oil from established wells; planning rework process to correct well production including repacking of well bore and additional perforation of subsurface sands adjacent to well bottom; and developing well drilling plans. Must possess some experience with rod lifted wells and design of rod lift systems including Gas lift, jet pump and horizontal wellbore; applying field data such as fluid levels, dyno card, tubing pressures and casing pressures to properly size and troubleshoot artificial lift systems; using IPR equations; and performing nodal analysis and critical gas flow rates.
