Summary
Eliminates client’s portfolio of under-performing and non-performing residential real estate assets by administering contracted loss mitigation programs. Plans, manages, and leads the day-to-day operations of the Asset Recovery department. Ensures adherence to loss mitigation policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws, regulations, and investor guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities
Proactively establishes and manages client relationships. Responsible for client retention and delivery in accordance with contract terms including new business implementation, scorecards, service level agreements and procedural compliance. Ultimate responsibility for account strategy, execution, growth, and retention including proactive consultative solution selling to meet the changing client needs.

Leads staff in delivering requirements of Short Sales and Deed in Lieu programs to meet or exceed financial performance objectives . Supervises, coordinates, and evaluates the operations of the department. Ensures that quality, efficient, and professional service is provided by the Asset Recovery Department. Takes responsibility for the teams’ performance including accuracy, efficiency, timeliness, and completion of duties.

Assists with problem resolution. Evaluates issues and provides guidance to staff members to resolve issues and/or to interpret policy and procedure.

Maintains knowledge of state and federal regulations, investor guidelines, current laws and related changes that pertain to these types of transactions to ensure compliance and consistency of service. Ensures ongoing review and updates of policy and procedures as necessary.

Manages workload issues across department functions, and proposes and implements efficiency initiatives as required.

Maintains open communication with team members, customers, vendors, other departments, and management. Conducts staff meetings to convey operational direction.

Selects, trains, coaches, and motivates staff. Develops staff performance goals and incentive plans to maximize results. Performs timely written performance evaluations for staff supervised and conducts periodic one-on-one meetings to review progress in meeting assigned goals. Responsible for coaching employees, recognizing strengths and identifying performance deficiencies, instituting development plans when appropriate, and monitoring achievement of development plan objectives.

Required Skills Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of recent experience managing loss mitigation or collections functions Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to multi-task Ability to work in fast-paced environment running multiple tasks under tight deadlines Ability to quickly come up to speed on Asset Recovery business and culture Flexibility in working with team members to meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of collection and loss mitigation processes. Strong analytical, reasoning, problem solving and negotiating abilities. Effective leadership skills including supervision, coaching, delegating, counseling, and performance goal setting. Proficient with Microsoft Word, and Outlook. Advance knowledge of Excel.
