Starting pay is $45,990 - $75,884, plus excellent benefits. This position is in pay schedule and pay range 07-03. A six-month probationary period is required.

position is within International Academic Programs, a unit in the Division of International Studies, which serves as the largest study abroad office at UW-Madison. International Academic Programs administers more than 200 campus-wide study abroad and exchange programs and annually sends over 1,300 students abroad. Job Duties: The Computer Systems Administrator (CSA) will be responsible for the development, management, and delivery of various technology related services that support the operations of International Academic Programs. The person in this position will be required to understand the various office service functions and translate service needs into technology enhanced solutions. The CSA will need to understand the larger purpose and function of IAP, including the various academic programs, and determine how various technologies can be integrated to more efficiently and effectively meet the specific needs of those programs and services. The person in this position will need to consult and work collaboratively with other units on-campus. The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker who can develop and communicate effectively a technology plan for academic programs. For a complete position description, go to:

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience with software tools, such as Adobe products (Premiere, Photoshop, Captivate, Acrobat) and web authoring software (Dreamweaver); Experience using web-based development tools such as CSS, Javascript, ASP/VisualBasic, .NET, and HTML5, and web design and development; Knowledge of Oracle with familiarity in ASP/PHP. Excellent organizational skills including project management skills and experience Demonstrated experience working successfully in a high-traffic, high-demand environment and ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner; Applicant must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and requests; Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills including the ability to interpret staff needs into technical solutions; A basic understanding of CSS3.
