Directs all information services activities within a designated facility. Provides direct supervision for facility technical staff and responsible for the successful implementation of all information services initiatives. Interfaces and communicates with facility management and administration to provide support for business initiatives and to insure customer satisfaction levels. Responsible for establishing and monitoring project work plans, implementing effective workflows and processes. Evaluates business problems, identifies and resolves issues. Assists in the evaluation of end-user computing packages and equipment, as well as in the implementation and testing of prototypes. Consults with client and staff regarding PC, LAN, and Voice systems, equipment problems or malfunctions and recommends solutions. Responsible for creating accurate and timely information reports and records. Will administer all duties in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards.



Education & Technical Skills

: College degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred. Equivalent background or skills gained through work experience will be considered.


: 2-3 years of supervisory experience in an IT setting is required. 2-3 years of experience with personal computers and MS-Office applications is required. Experience working in a healthcare environment highly preferred. A+, Network+ and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are desired. Proven experience may be substituted for certification where appropriate.


: Independent decisions are required in order to determine the best method to complete assigned tasks. The person in this position has latitude in developing a plan to reach the desired results.


: Substantial mental effort with significant interruptions and priority changes. Must be a team oriented, self-motivated professional. Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Ability to quickly learn systems with little or no documentation. Continuous learning of new systems, business processes and concepts are a must. Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and projects. Ability to perform in high pressure or stressful situations. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Must have the ability to work well with people of varying levels of technical abilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. It is important for this individual to maintain a professional image regardless of work related pressures.

: Is responsible for maintaining proper inventory of office supplies and equipment. Ensure proper maintenance and support of equipment located in areas of responsibility.

: Supervises facility Information Services staff..

Responsibility for Information

: Works with corporate, facility and patient information, which must be kept confidential.

Contact with Others

: Frequent contact with facility administration, region administration, end-user specialists, help-desk, system administrators, application specialist, network analyst, users, peers, and managers. May also have contact with independent software vendors, resellers, or distributors.
