As an IT professional you have expert knowledge in one or more programming languages or databases. Because of your excellent understanding of the entire project life cycle, you have the ability to direct project teams in the gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. This position will serve as the Project Analyst for the IT Support Desk and ATC non raised floor facilities, as well as helping to manage project planning and budgeting. They will report to the Manager of ATC non raised floor Facilities. Besides project management they will also be responsible for: procurement, financial management, and vendor relations.
This Project Analyst will also be responsible for working with the department leadership to track and report departmental and project budgets, purchases, contracts, SOWs, Maintenance Renewals, and to assist in preparation of documents for review boards, as appropriate.
The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to successfully navigate matrixed resources with competing priorities, in order to meet deadlines and committments. The candidate must be able to quickly assess circumstances with process must be followed closely and ascertain when process can and should be modified to deliver critical business functionality.
This role will carry a blackberry and could work non-standard hours, and will interact with other PMs, Managers, Directors and architects.
The purpose of this position is to provide effective management of IT support desk tasks/projects and ATC facilites projects. This is accomplished by applying or ensuring the application of a standard, defined methodology to the project, and providing the leadership skills necessary to control the execution of the project tasks, as defined in the methodology. The project manager is responsible for delivering several key project artifacts, and shares responsibility and accountability with the project leadership team for the successful delivery of the entire project.
Summarized responsibilities include: General project management, Change Management, Status Reporting, Financial Accountability.
Serves as part of the Project Management team, and plays a supporting role at the project level. With
guidance and supervision from more experienced project managers, begins to take a hands on role in the project. Is a visible project team member that supports and executes portions of projects. Is a pooled resource that is assigned on a project-specific basis to a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager. Participates in planning, scheduling, monitoring, evaluating and directing projects with moderate assistance to ensure a complete business solution is implemented. A more senior Project Analyst may be called upon
to manage a small project independently. Independently executes or assists the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Manager in executing the Project Plan using THD Project Delivery Methodology.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
Assists in Scoping Programs/Projects at the project level: Describes the program/project opportunity.
Determines project management requirements. Identifies project risks and manages Risk Assessment.
Describes and documents business requirements. Develops high level program plan. Maintains all
elements of the Project Plan from a tools perspective.
Develops Project Management Plans: Documents project goals and objectives. Translates business
requirements into specific deliverables.
Develops and maintains the project schedule and project level plans in PMOffice.
Maintains project budgets.
Assists in Planning Engagements: Participates in strategic and account planning activities. Contributes to
the planning effort with preliminary cost estimating, project planning, and risk assessment.
Participates in project presentations to project team and management. Reflects knowledge of specific portfolio in work.
Demonstrates knowledge of THD IT products and processes.
Assists in managing implementation of project: Responsible for all documentation updates. Develops and maintains the Project Binder.
Attends project reviews and documents status reviews. Maintains cost/schedule/resource variances.
Participates in quality control."

Typically reports to Project Manager/ Business Lead of area that Analyst is supporting.
This position has no direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Must be eighteen years of age or older

EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a
bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Strong understanding of financial concepts is preferred
