Starting pay is between $53,793 and $88,758 per year depending upon qualifications, plus excellent benefits. This position is in pay schedule and pay range 07-02 and has a one year probationary period.

The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) provides information technology services to UW-Madison, all UW campuses, and the UW System and other agencies, employing approximately 800 people and operating with a budget of over $75 million. This position is located within Application Development & Integration in the Student Applications Group. Job Duties: This position reports to the DoIT Student Applications Group and provides services to offices utilizing PeopleSoft products. Primary offices on campus are: Office of the Bursar, Office of the Registrar, Office of Student Financial Aid and Admissions & Recruitment. Primary high-level responsibilities are: •Project management - Work with business units to ensure systems meet their needs •Business analysis - Includes leveraging ERP capabilities to best meet needs of campus offices •Systems development - Recommends solutions and write programs to meet chosen solutions. This includes hands-on coding in PeopleTools. •Testing - Ensures all aspects of modules are fully testing. This includes creating test plans.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: PeopleSoft application fundamentals and PeopleTools 8.x; solid understanding of information technology; excellent business and transaction processing skills; strong analytical skills; problem-solving skills; planning and organization/Project Management skills; Leadership skills; teamwork and issue resolution skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; Knowledge of: information processing methodologies; process analysis and design techniques, client/server and web-based programming, advanced testing techniques, Oracle and SQL, HTML/DHTML/CSS and XML/XSLT, Internet clients/servers/protocols; developing, implementing, and/or managing large, complex operational systems; business process and design.
