An Information Technology (IT) Analyst I performs skilled technical duties in one of the following technical support areas: Application, Database, Desktop, GIS (Geographic Information System), Help Desk, Production, Security, or Server Support. This class is responsible for positively and actively participating in team training and demonstrating team skills learned by applying and reinforcing team principles in daily work with functional teams.
Desktop Assignment: IT Analyst I assignments for Desktop Support generally has a narrow scope of responsibility, and handles basic and intermediate tasks that are routine in nature. Approximately 50-75% of daily tasks involve on-site work at various field locations. The Desktop Support assignment area is usually assigned a mentor.
The ideal candidate will be competent in troubleshooting desktop operating systems, desktop software and hardware; good troubleshooting, problem resolution and escalation skills are highly desired in order to achieve optimum productivity and meet established service levels. Excellent customer service, clear communication and the ability to operate well under pressure are preferred.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Required. Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to a vocational or technical school diploma. Good (1 - 3 years) experience in the technical support area of assignment: Applications, Database, Desktop, GIS, Help Desk, Production, Security, and/or Server Support.
