Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of IT Business Analyst – Applications located in Bellaire, TX through May 7, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

The IT Business Analyst combines strong technical skills and in-depth business knowledge to translate business requirements into specific IT solutions. This position requires a self-directed, highly skilled individual with a consistent track record of delivering quality results. Working knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry is preferred.

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Formulate and define project scope Develop, analyze, and maintain current and future business processes.

Lead the functional and non-functional requirements gathering, analysis, verification, and acceptance process.

Ensure that business and user requirements are translated into functional and non-functional requirement statements that are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.

Facilitate the Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) process for vendor selection.

Manage expectations related to the performance of the proposed solution, usability, business workflow implications, risk assessment, and system functionality.

Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.

Create training material and lead training sessions.

Lead testing efforts.

Develop Master Test Plano Determine Level of Testing Required Create and Execute Test Scripts.

Support the initiation and completion of user acceptance testing.

Required Qualifications:
In-depth and broad experience as an IT Business Analyst with a proven track record.

Must be a self starter and highly motivated.

Ability to work with minimum direction.

Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.

Takes input from supervisor, project manager, and team members and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback.

Consistently delivers high-quality services to the business, stakeholders, and vendors.

Understands Project Management concepts.
Ability to manage deliverables for multiple projects.

Exceptional communication skills written, verbal, and presentation with internal and external parties.

Coordinates activities and communications with customer and stakeholder groups. Facilitates and leads meetings and workshops.

Understands how to communicate difficult / sensitive information tactfully.

Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.

Understands technical system interfaces.

Identifies critical issues with ease.

Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.

Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets.

Ability to quickly gather information and learn enough background to participate on project team.

Organize work to ensure that it is carried out efficiently and effectively.

Escalates issues for discussion when appropriate.

Able to handle conflict and issues in a constructive and objective manner.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree, IT-related IIBA CBAP.

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
