Manage services associated with common IT functions Entergy employees use on a day-to-day basis while performing their jobs. Workplace services include computers (desktops, laptops, tablets), operating systems, office productivity software (Microsoft Office), email, printing, software distribution, remote access, and internet access. Working closely with our outsourcing partner, develop a Â¿commercial-likeÂ¿ IT service that incorporates customer relationships, service offering requirements, cost models, service levels, operations plans, vendor partner relationships, project portfolio plans, and service provisioning/decommissioning processes.
Manage the portfolio of IT projects associated with workplace services including PC refresh, operating system upgrades, virtual desktop implementation, and Microsoft Office implementation.
Maintain relationships with key vendors including Microsoft and Dell. Lead the negotiations of contract renewals, handle service issues, and ensure that suppliers are compliant with the terms and conditions of agreements.
Create and maintain models that reflect the costs of Workplace services and design plans that aim to keep costs low while meeting or exceeding customer needs.
Design and communicate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reports that incorporate labor, software, and hardware. Periodically benchmark TCO against market data.
Design and manage service provisioning and decommissioning processes for Workplace services.
Understand the different computing requirements of Workplace services customers.
Design and manage processes to gather feedback/metrics from Workplace services customers, using methods such as surveys and focus groups.
Create various Workplace service offerings based on employee work habits, job function, and personal preferences.
Ensure the accuracy of asset inventories related to Workplace services, including PC and licensing counts.
Periodically review service performance and identify opportunities to improve operational plans for Workplace services.
Identify new technologies available in the market to pilot and if viable, integrate into future service offerings.
Maintain a positive and constructive relationship with EntergyÂ¿s primary outsourcing partner, leveraging their expertise to pilot, design, test, implement, and operate all Workplace service offerings.
Coordinate with the Enterprise Architecture and Security teams to ensure service designs align with strategic IT plans.
Regularly communicate status of services (plans, performance, cost, operations) to the rest of the IT department and the rest of the company.
Facilitate routine, informative communications with Workplace services customers about the available service offerings.
BachelorÂ¿s degree in computer science, business administration, accounting, sales or closely related discipline
Seven to ten years of experience in IT service delivery, direct business engagement, and multiple technology domains
Familiarity or experience in working with ITIL methodologies
Experience negotiating and managing large contracts with vendors including Dell, HP, and Microsoft
Technology sales and marketing experience not required but would be a plus
Ability to develop complex financial plans
Ability to communicate and build relationships outside IT
Strong business analysis skills including strong analytical and problem-solving skills
