Chevron Gas & Midstream is comprised of several business units in the Midstream operating company of the energy business. The business units include: Chevron Pipeline(CPL), Shipping(CSC), Supply & Trading(S&T), Gas Commercialization (LNG), Chevron Global Power(CGP), and Head Quarter(HQ). The CGM HQ IT Team supports the IT efforts across CGM. This position will be a member of the Gas & Midstream Head Quarter - Planning, Portfolio & Controls team. This position has multiple roles within the Gas & Midstream IT organization. Data Analytics, Planning lead, Strategic Staffing coordinator & ITLT Meeting Facilitator are some of the most impactful.
This position is responsible for Gas & Midstream IT Business Planning, Strategic Staffing, and the Business Value Capture processes across CGMIT.
Accountable for development of the CGM IT Business Plan in collaboration with Gas & Midstream IT Leadership team, CGM Strategy & Planning and ITC Strategy and planning teams.
Responsible for Defining, Monitoring, and Maturing processes to measure performance and impact relative to the business plan:
Establishes and tracks business plan performance metrics and works with the CGM IT Leadership Team to identify actions to improve performance (Scorecard). Provide quarterly updates to CIO and ITLT, as necessary.
Forecasting the year-end budget actuals and assembling financial data summaries for the annual review process in preparation for the next year’s vision and “end point” refresh.
Performs variance analysis on CGM IT financials.
Develop processes, metrics and dashboards to measure and communicate the value story around how IT investments are differentiating performance at the BU and segment levels.
Key linkage with the BU Financial analysts within CGM for planning and reporting.
Strategy & Strategic Staffing:
Owns the process to develop and maintain CGM’s IT Scorecard & Strategic Shaping Curve.
Responsible for implementing the Strategic Staffing (Supply & Demand) processes and maintain the data and actions for CGM IT. Ensures Strategic Staffing plans are aligned to the capabilities captured in CGM IT Strategic Shaping Curve.
Responsible for facilitating including preparing for all ITLT meetings, working closely with the CGM IT CIO.
Leads effort to define and implement CGM’s strategy on Benchmarking needs at Segment or Business unit level and will be the CGM IT representative on Benchmarking efforts for IT function. These efforts will be core components of shaping the IT Business Value and impact story.
Lead efforts to develop/adopt, deploy and mature capability across CGM for developing, measuring and reporting business value on IT projects delivering new business capabilities.
