POSITION PURPOSE -
Home Depot is seeking world-class talent looking to build a career with the world's largest home improvement retailer, operating more than 2,200 store locations in the U.S, Canada and Mexico. Specifically, your role in Home Depot will place you at the center of developing and maintaining the next generation of systems that Merchants use to provide products for our Stores and customers. You will be exposed to the latest technologies and implement these on a large, enterprise scale. You will work with IT teams and business partners to understand strategic initiatives as well as deliver leading-edge capabilities that also support Home Depot's retail business. You will apply advanced problem-solving techniques and coordinate with other core team members to resolve system issues, maintain complex business logic and identify and implement innovative solutions.
The IT Developer II demonstrates proficient knowledge of multiple programming languages, technologies and business acumen. Ability to execute and guide work on multiple projects. Possesses the ability to gather, interpret and document business requirements as well as develop the technical design for an application. Can effectively leverage EAI, Database and Data Modeling in design of systems for use in a production environment. Demonstrates thorough understanding of life cycle development through production implementation and post implementation. Ability to provide input on the strategic view of applications and how they fit into the whole retail space.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
Take business requirements and develop the total technical design for assigned mid-sized projects and ensure proper usage as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production.
Follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards.
Conduct appropriate test reviews on assigned projects as necessary. Present findings and offer solutions to management.

Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology
No direct responsibility for supervising others.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses
EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail while self-managing assigned tasks and projects.
Ecommerce and/or retail experience a plus.
Project leadership ability.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
A good understanding of WebKit core and the differences between manufacturer implementation.
Ability to interpret and develop high quality code based off of given business requirements, wireframes and creative briefs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
Ability to communicate issues and recommended solutions in a timely manner.
Solid experience in documenting requirements.
Knowledge of multiple programming languages, databases, life cycle methodologies.
