We are currently looking for an IT Director to work out of our Northbrook, IL office and support all of the NRT offices in the Chicago/Milwaukee region. This will include traveling to offices throughout the region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
Manage IT resources, both financial and personnel.
Recommend appropriate staffing levels to meet these needs.
Work closely with staff member in a coaching and mentoring capacity.
Lead specific metro IT initiatives.
Ensure that IT standards are developed, updated and adhered to in all IT areas.
Ensure that security standards relating to data and network protection are enforced and maintained.
Develop and maintain an IT Strategy that meets the needs of the local operating company and matches the goals and strategies of Realogy IT.
Lead initiatives to improve information systems and improve communication methods.
Work closely with the department managers in a coaching and mentoring capacity to help develop their leadership skills and gain a better understanding of ITs role within the business.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Communication
Communicate IT initiatives and issues to users across the organization.
Visit branches as permitted by schedules and priorities to communicate IT initiatives and issues as appropriate.
Mediate on IT related disputes.
Communicate IT issues, updates and projects to the national help desk, to help them effectively support the user base.
Communicate with vendors on IT issues, requirements and projects as appropriate.
Communicate with training department.
Ensure proper record keeping.
Educate all levels of management on technology advancements.
Communicate on issues relating to the local operating company web site/s and transfer of data to parties receiving data from web services on our behalf, where applicable.
Coordination
Manage IT resources to enable the department to provide a high level of customer service to the companys system users and sales associates.
Manage the relationship between the local metro and the national help desk, ensuring the continuous flow of information and coordination of activities between the two entities.
As the custodian of all electronic data, ensure that record retention policies are strictly adhered to.
Where required, participate in MLS Board or Executive meetings and on other realtor Association committees where appropriate.
Manage department expenses to ensure that resources are focused on highest priorities both for immediate needs as well as for the development of long-term solutions.
Manage capital and operating expenses within budgetary limits.
Perform other duties as necessary. Daily/Weekly Activities
Meet with managers weekly or as required to coordinate department activities, establish and monitor tasks and projects, review personnel issues and monitor goals.
Weekly visit, to branch offices to attend Tuesday sales meetings.
Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Activities
Analysis of monthly Profit and Loss statement to ensure that the department remains on budget.
Monthly re-forecasting, accruals, and re-class of operating expenses.
Monthly re-forecasting of capital budgets.

Conduct departmental All IT meetings quarterly
Conduct annual performance evaluations for all direct reports, as per Realogys performance evaluation program.
Participate in weekly, monthly, and/or annual staff and conference calls within the Central region and nationally.
Participate in local operating companys monthly and/or annual leadership conference.
Present IT initiatives monthly at the Leadership meeting.
Ensure that all managers follow the annual performance review program as per Realogys requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Four-year college diploma or university degree and/or 5-7 years of equivalent work experience. Equivalent work experience includes IT related project management, technology implementation and IT supervision.
An aptitude toward identifying, recommending / selling and applying technology solutions to solve business needs.
Experience with leading and supervising a team in a work environment. This would include project management, team lead and/or head of a department.
Aptitude for mentoring and developing employees.
Strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated project leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of corporate technology environments including applications programming and the supporting technology / network infrastructure.
Good problem solving and process skills.
Outstanding customer service skills including field support.
Demonstrated experience with providing direction to managerial staff.
Prior experience in the role as a Director or department manager is preferred.
Experience with developing and managing a financial budget, forecasting and tracking expenses.
