Perforce administrator will be responsible for supporting engineering community globally on day to day issues via ticket based and email systems. Manage user accounts, LDAP groups, security, backups across global install base. General Perforce admin duties include server/client upgrades, managing backups, restore requests, disaster recovery, and client troubleshooting. Partner with various teams to develop best use case and practices for build automation and release systems. Other duties also include metrics gathering generation, monitoring customization and on-going strategic engagements for ongoing growth. Strong Knowledge of Perforce clients, configurations across multiple architectures/platforms (Windows, Linux, Ubuntu, OS X). The ideal candidate will also participate in on-call rotation and be flexible for out of hours maintenance and upgrades in an exciting and high-paced global installation base.
Computer Science degree or equivalent 5 + years IT industry experience.
5+ years experience in Linux/Unix systems administration.
Strong familiarity with one or more Linux scripting languages (shell, Perl, Python, etc.).
Excellent software/hardware/networking troubleshooting skills.
Solid familiarity with source configuration management tools and concepts with an emphasis on Perforce
Experience working with high availability systems and virtualization technologies.
Excellent communication, customer, time management, and interpersonal skills
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Knowledgeable in online documentation systems (SharePoint, Confluence, etc.)
Knowledgeable in office applications (Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, etc.)
Able to work independently but also a strong team player
Able to create professional documentation
Able to think strategically and conceptually while managing details
Strong troubleshooting skills and able to work effectively under pressure
Exposure to additional SCM systems (clearcase, git, svn, etc.)
Highly motivated self-starter and team player
