Job Title: IT Internet Protocol Address Management
Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Provides expert knowledge and assistance to junior specialists. Oversees IP address management and distribution efforts in accordance with IP network design and established procedures. Performs asset discovery, verifies requirements, determines security posture, and provides support to ensure the security and health of enterprise IT systems on the enterprise network. Provides certification and accreditation (C&A) support to new security procedures requiring ATO on the infrastructure. Conducts ad-hoc and periodic assessments on IT hardware deployed in CONUS or OCONUS for post certification and accreditation. Conducts and process the daily allocation and recovery of IP addresses at the network and sub-network layer. Performs the operations/calculations required to add, delete, modify and interpret limited information. Utilizes fundamental networking commands to support IT System Security discovery. Interprets network drawings and schematics that apply to Enterprise IT Operations. Performs data analysis/data mining as necessary to support data collection; and determines valid system assets attached to the IT infrastructure. Provides documentation and technical support to management and internal customers, by effectively communicating and escalating solutions.
Level IV: High School Diploma/GED and 12 years experience, or Associate's Degree and 10 years experience, or Bachelor's Degree and 8 years experience, or Master's Degree and 6 years experience, or Doctorate and 4 years experience.
ITIL v3 Foundations certification
HP Service Manager 7.11 End-User Training
Possesses a clear understanding of TCP/IP address scheme, IPv4/IPv6, and general database design, LAN/ WAN topology, PC and server interaction, scanning experience
A+, or Network +, or SSCP
A minimum of three years experience of installing, configuring, operating, and troubleshooting medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. This includes knowledge of how to mitigate basic security threats. CCNA training covers (but is not limited to) the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2), VLANS, Ethernet, and access control lists (ACLs).
Have at least one year's experience in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), IP address structure, and Classless Inter-Domain Routing
