The IT Solutions Department is seeking a qualified internship candidate for the distributed applications group. The term of the internship will be for one year, with work hours ranging from 10 to 40 hours a week, depending on school year or summer schedule. Candidate will be allowed flexible scheduling. This position will provide exposure to a wide variety of tasks associated with applications development and support.
A quality candidate should be self-motivated and able to multi-task between projects and achieve project deadlines. Applicants should have proficiency with basic programming concepts. The capacity to learn new processes is critical as well as, having good verbal and written communication skills, and being able to work well in a team environment.
Skills / Requirements
Coursework from an accredited college or university with major focus in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field (e.g. Geographic Information Systems or GIS, Geography, Environmental).
Candidates will have at least one (1) year of experience with applications development in a college setting. Experience with the Microsoft suite of software products preferred, specifically experience with Visual Studio and SQL server or Access. Programming with C# is preferred but not required.
