General Description:

The Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize computer hardware deployment and software development projects according to quality, schedule and budget objectives. The Project Manager will work with business and IT personnel to define the project's objectives and scope and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project stakeholders, both customers and end-users. This includes interviewing stakeholders and gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the computer hardware and software lifecycle.
•Make sure that all stakeholders receive accurate, timely communication. Proactively identify additional communication opportunities and implement.
•Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements to teams such as software and hardware programmers, developers and network administrators to successfully implement the design.
•Manage internal and 3rd party technical resources to complete project activities.
•Collaborate with Project Managers and technical resources to get and confirm estimates, develop overall implementation plan.
•Work with implementation teams to deploy retail $5 million worth of computer hardware for rollouts to existing stores.
•Oversee the New Store Deployment process of 600 to 1000 new stores/acquisitions per year.
•Make decisions based on existing procedures, processes or methods but able to think outside the box in order to ensure success.
•Prioritize to ensure that deadlines are met despite competing priorities.
•Handle escalations outside office hours and resolve with a sense of urgency.
•Share and document metrics, challenges, learning’s, and best practices and incorporate into processes.
Technical Skills:
*Understanding of the necessary computer hardware architecture, requirements and integration approaches for Retail environments.
*Knowledge of the functionality of Retail computer hardware and peripherals.
*Able to analyze current technology infrastructure and its ability to support strategic objectives
Position Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree
Experience: 4-6, Project Management in an out sources staffing environment required
Strong experience in use of MS Office products - specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and Power Point
Technical knowledge of computer hardware preferred
Experience managing Retail Information Software development projects
Experience with large scale, multiple site computer hardware rollouts as well as software projects in relation to the release of new computer hardware
Familiarity with risk management procedure
Experience with c-store/grocery multi-unit retail company preferred
