Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Application Development Manager and Team Leads, the Software Developer/Report Developer will design, develop, test, and implement application programs and reports to provide business solutions for The Rawlings Group.

Essential Functions:

Work with customers, managers and other Software Developers to understand requirements for simple-to-complex business systems required by group.

Work with other IT staff to develop technical specifications based upon functions specs as created.
Follow typical systems development life cycle processes in defining projects and gaining approval.
Work with business unit to ensure that system is being built to defined expectations, and perform change management functions as needed.
Work with customers to define requirements and build SSRS and/or Crystal reports.
Develop or participate in development of systems using .Net architecture with ASP.Net, Visual Studio2008/2010, C#, MS SQL Server 2005/2008. Some maintenance of VB6 applications may be required.
Analyze and perform modifications to systems as requested by manager or customer through manager.
Analyst and assist in correction of problems which may occur in system operations.

Minimum Requirements:
Degree in computer science, or closely related field, OR significant equivalent experience.
Experience in healthcare IT (provider, insurer, third-party, claims processing, other healthcare) desirable but not mandatory.
Ability to work well with internal customers and management; and the ability to gather requirements and develop design specifications.
4+ years of analysis, design and development experience in a .net, Visual Studio/C#, MS SQL Server or similar environment. SSRS and/or Crystal Reports experience required.
Additional consideration given to candidates with background in data mining techniques, mining software and understanding of statistical analysis.
Experience with the following technologies is desirable: Visual Studio 2008/2010, C#, Team Foundation Server, .net 3.5/4.0, WF, WCF, WPF, N -tier, SOAP, Agile, SQL Server 2005/2008, SharePoint 2007, Ajax, Linq

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to operate a computer keyboard. Correctable hearing and vision required.

Work Environment:
Office environment with low noise level.
