Background: The IT Supplier Management unit, part of Weyerhaeuser’s IT Architecture, Infrastructure and Supplier Management (AIS) group, provides relationship management and governance oversight for all of Weyerhaeuser’s external IT suppliers. Services focus on: the oversight of all supplier activities; leadership of issue resolution and other governance activities; assistance to IT delivery unit teams for the planning and sourcing of new services; and other activities required to effectively and efficiently execute Weyerhaeuser’s Information Technology strategy. This is a position responsible for the non-routine buying of information technology hardware, software and services. This position reports to the Director of IT Supplier Management. This position will work closely with the IT delivery customer base, IT delivery managers, Line of Business managers, project managers, and the 3 rd party service providers.

Key Functions: The Buyer is focused on performing non-routine sourcing and buying of IT products and services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review of IT related purchase requests, coordination with internal customers to verify specifications, solicit bids and quotes, select and issue PO’s to suppliers Perform PO material and services receipt entry, and assist with invoice payment issues/discrepancies Assisting in day-to-day software license requests, including: tracking, assignment from surplus, or purchase Ad-hoc contract development, drafting, negotiation, and ongoing oversight of IT suppliers Pursue opportunities to consolidate non-routine purchases and supplier management practices across IT commodities Recommend sourcing alternatives and new suppliers based on quality, service and competitive pricing Accountability for hardware and software maintenance agreement renewals and IT-related consulting service agreement renewals Assist with internal and external audits as required Assist in the maintenance of all associated data and reporting deliverables

Requirements:
B.S. or B.A. degree in business or procurement related field or equivalent experience may be accepted. 4+ years IT related procurement experience with progressive responsibilities. CPM/CPSM certification desired. Demonstrates business acumen, solid business analytical skills, and proficient in MS Office Suite. Demonstrated familiarity and knowledge of client systems, infrastructure, voice and data communications technology and application computing environment. Strong oral and written communication skills demonstrated to IT customer base and other key stakeholders. Experience in automated procurement tools (SAP preferred) and IT ticketing systems knowledge. Understanding/familiarity of procure to pay processes including A/P transaction processing. Initiates and acts on continuous improvement opportunities. Must be self motivated and able to multi-task. Customer focused and proactive in dealings with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Practices high ethical standards of behavior in all professional and personal dealings.
