Job Title: Industrial Hygiene/Safety Specialist

About our Client:
Our client, with both U.S. and international plants, offices, and research facilities, operates in the petrochemical space & develops and manufactures petroleum additives that help fuels burn cleaner and more efficiently, engines run smoother and machines last longer.
Responsible for facility physical & chemical risk assessments and recommend PPE,
Engineering Controls, and employee exposure monitoring necessary to
control exposure risks Manage IH / Safety audits for compliance with OSHA standards; assist sites with identified corrective actions Originate and implement consistent IH / Safety Policies and Procedures at all plant sites Originate safety training system & materials, while implementing safety training measures at all sites on a consistent basis. Share best Safety practices among all sites. Develop IH / Safety recordkeeping and reporting systems Define & communicate to plants concerning conformance with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP), such as NFPA, ASME, API, and NEC. Partner with the Technical and Site Operations Managers to provide IH / Safety support and align site procedures/processes to Corporate Health & Safety programs.
BS in Industrial Safety, Hygiene or Engineering 5+ years applicable experience performing Industrial Hygiene functions in chemical
manufacturing plant environment Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Lotus Notes Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Detail-oriented, excellent oral and written communication is required.
