Developing information architecture recommendations for both new and existing products
Translating audience needs, goals, and technical profiles into product specifications
Working closely with product, technical, and advertising teams to capture business requirements and incorporate them into the product specifications
Participating in audience research and analytics, usability testing, focus groups, and other product research initiatives, and incorporating findings into iterative product improvements
Review product executions and provide feedback and recommendations throughout the iterative development process
Develop standards and best practices as part of the design process, including templates and guidelines that can be used to guide future design initiatives.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient with user experience design and documentation tools, such as OmniGraffle, Visio, Axure, Balsamiq, etc;
Proven communication and organization skills; ability to work well in team setting.
Strong skills in rapid prototyping and iterative design using various graphic tools.
In-depth knowledge of GUI prototyping tools, software design, Web development technologies, and protocols.
Thorough understanding of application development methodologies.
Knowledge and passion for User Interface design principles.
4 year degree in HCI, Library Sciences, Information Design, or related field
4+ years experience as an Information Architect; or 6+ years as a UX professional with relevant IA skills
Experience developing product specifications within an Agile development environment
Experience defining information architecture, developing interaction strategy and specifications, and prototyping
Previous experience as a UI Developer preferred, but not required.
Leadership skills, ability to drive teams to consensus and the ability to work independently.
