Position Responsibilities:
1. Stakeholder Management: Business Process Owners, End Users, Project Teams
  • Manage day-to-day interactions and IM-related needs with Stakeholders related to business processes, business systems and applications (including business intelligence, document management, and data management)
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen IM relationships with the business
  • Learn and document stakeholder’s business area/organization/objectives and work with them to identify needs and evaluate alternatives to foster creation of high performance groups
2. Resource Management: software, hardware
  • Determine project roles and define necessary skill sets based on project requirements, timeframes, and budget of the “Business Planning and Management Systems” portion of the IM budget for US Mega Projects
  • Work with internal as well as external resources as needed
  • Determine needs and define specifications for necessary software (SAP and Complementary Systems)
  • Re-use and extend current IM solutions and services wherever possible
  • Recommend appropriate new solutions when required
3. Project Management: plan, execute, monitor and control
  • Partner with US Mega Projects Main Information Contractor (MIC) to perform business analysis, basic design, and interface of all business systems and applications required for US Mega Projects
  • Create the project management plan including scope, schedule, budget and resources
  • Manage the execution of the necessary actions to accomplish the project objectives
  • Manage the Change Management Process and maintain safety focus over the life of the project
  • Track and report on agreed project metrics, inspect and review, take action on this analysis as needed; may involve problem-solving, root cause analysis, evaluating the impact of change requests
4. Communications
  • Communicate progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones and other key project metrics to Project Manager and Team Members per agreed project communication plans
  • Ad hoc communications, presentations, training as needed
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working with information systems/technology
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in leadership positions
  • Experience working with SAP and managing SAP projects
  • Business Analysis and Business Process Mapping experience
  • International experience working with people in different countries
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing large projects
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional is a plus
  • Certified Project Management Professional is a plus
  • Petrochemical Industry or related Industry experience (preferred)

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications
