Position Responsibilities:
1. Stakeholder Management: Manufacturing Process Owners, Operations personnel, Main Automation Contractor, Engineering Contractor, End Users, Project Teams
  • Manage day-to-day interactions and IM-related needs with Stakeholders related to manufacturing processes, manufacturing execution systems (MES), and MES enabling technologies
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen IM relationships with the plant
  • Learn and document stakeholder’s area/organization/objectives and work with them to identify needs and evaluate alternatives to foster creation of high performance groups
2. Resource Management: software, hardware
  • Determine project roles and define necessary skill sets based on project requirements, timeframes, and budget of the “Manufacturing Execution Systems” portion of the IM budget for US Mega Projects
  • Work with internal as well as external resources as needed
  • Determine needs and define specifications for necessary software and enabling technologies
  • Re-use and extend current IM solutions and services wherever possible
  • Recommend appropriate new solutions when required
3. Project Management: plan, execute, monitor and control
  • Partner with US Mega Projects Main Information Contractor (MIC) to perform analysis, basic design, and interface of all manufacturing execution systems required for US Mega Projects
  • Create the project management plan including scope, schedule, budget and resources
  • Manage the execution of the necessary actions to accomplish the project objectives
  • Manage the Change Management Process and maintain safety focus over the life of the project
  • Track and report on agreed project metrics, inspect and review, take action on this analysis as needed; may involve problem-solving, root cause analysis, evaluating the impact of change requests
4. Communications
  • Communicate progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones and other key project metrics to Project Manager and Team Members per agreed project communication plans
  • Ad hoc communications, presentations, training as needed
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working with manufacturing execution systems
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in leadership positions
  • Experience working with manufacturing execution systems and managing MES projects
  • Experience with the following systems: Meridium, GWOS, SAP –MII, LMS, Honeywell-EBI, Logistics Systems, IP.21,PHD, Aspen Engineering Suite, Aspen Manufacturing Suite, GIS, and Barcode Systems
  • Experience on greenfields/brownfields projects with full end to end system integration
  • International experience working with people in different countries
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing large projects
  • Certified Project Management Professional is a plus
  • Petrochemical Industry or related industry experience
