SecureState's Advisory Practice assists companies with complex security situations and provides consulting services to help these organizations develop a strong security program. SecureState is searching for a candidate to join our team that has a comprehensive knowledge base in security, audit, and compliance. As SecureState continues to grow, we are looking to increase our capabilities in delivering value to our clients through advisory engagements. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and will manage internal SecureState processes and budgets and will also be responsible for growing the Advisory Practice and 2013 initiatives.
Specific daily responsibilities include:
Provide thought leadership with SecureState's Security Program Manager (SPM)- a virtual CISO for various industries and companies.
Work with other SecureState practices to formalize strategies and frameworks for organizations.
Ability to take complex concepts and develop specific recommendations, that organizations can implement
The ideal candidate will be able to do the following:
Understand and be able to communicate security trends to CXO
Handle complex and ambiguous engagements
Leverage the knowledge base from SecureState's experts in Penetration Testing, Risk Management, Audit and Compliance and Incident Reponse
Be a self starter with the ability to manage additional SecureState resources
Traditional security certifications (CISSP, CISA etc)
Frameworks (CoBIT, ISO 27001 etc.)
Minimum of seven years experience in the security industry.
- Bachelors' degree in a related field
- MBA not required, but a plus
