The Graduate School is home to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs , which promotes and facilitates the research, education, and outreach missions of the University of Wisconsin-Madison by supporting and administering extramurally sponsored programs.

SALARY : Starting pay is $45,990 to $75,884 per year depending upon qualifications, plus excellent benefits .These FLSA exempt positions are non-represented in pay schedule/range 07-03. A six-month probationary period is required.

JOB DUTIES : The Information Systems Comprehensive Services Senior will work independently, under general supervision of the Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) Director of Electronic Research Administration, this position will manage RSP's information technology resources and networks. Duties and responsibilities of this position include: manage the department's servers, keep abreast of current and future technology, serve as the leader in the development of methodologies to assist in the research administration mission, provide training to RSP staff on software and technology used in the office, and assist in the development and maintenance of the public and internal RSP websites.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED : Ability to configure, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain an Active Directory and Group Policy domain; knowledge of security best practices; ability to troubleshoot a variety of software and hardware issues; knowledge of common office software applications and operating systems: Windows/Mac operating systems, MS Office, various web browsers; knowledge of website management and development techniques using software; knowledge of HTML CSS, Javascript, Ajax, ColdFusion coding; knowledge of operation, troubleshooting, and repair of Macs, PCs, PDAs, smart phones, data projectors, and peripherals, knowledge of networking techniques; knowledge of database queries and some programming a must using ColdFusion, SQL, Javascript, PHP or similar; and strong written and verbal communication skills.
