THIS IS A PAID POSITION!
The Information Manager is responsible for responding to and resolving division-wide Help Desk inquiries and maintaining records and reports in the Help Desk System. Create, maintain and document user accounts for the network and the software that requires it. Update user and computer inventory. Provide assistance and back up for the Executive office IS Managers.
The position requires a minimum of 60 college credits and appropriate MIS certificates or satisfactory combination of education and experience in MS Windows Server and desktop, Novell Netware 5.x or higher, and Windows based applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and e-mail. Familiarity with maintaining and troubleshooting PCs is required. Excellent written, oral communications and interpersonal skills are essential along with the ability to work cooperatively in a demanding user environment.
Manage daily administration of LAN to ensure continued integrity of the network.
Manage daily system backups.
Provide troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair for network and computer hardware and software problems.
Respond to Help Desk inquiries pertaining to agency systems and document successful resolutions in the help desk system.
Undertake or assist to completion Special Projects assigned by Executive IS supervision in a timely fashion.
Perform other selected duties as required.
