TekStream is seeking an Infrastructure Lead/Sr. Solaris Administrator for an excellent opportunity leading the day to day work of an internal Infrastructure team that is supporting a large installation and configuration effort for a government agency in Northern, VA.

The ideal resource will have had experience leading small teams and be technically adept with Solaris, and Oracle Middleware / WebLogic.

Responsibilities:
– Lead 3 to 4 infrastructure resources (Middleware Admin, DBA, Configuration Management Lead, etc.) supporting a Solaris 10, Oracle BPM/WebLogic, Oracle Service Bus environment.
– Installation, configuration, and management of Solaris 10 Zones supporting multiple environments
– Work with middleware administrator to support installation, configuration and maintenance of Oracle middleware stack including AquaLogic User Interaction, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle BPM, and Oracle Service Bus.
– Monitor and tune all environments for optimal performance
– Serve as team lead for infrastructure team consisting of COTS admin and DBA resources
– Monitor, schedule and perform core system patches, upgrades and support code deployments
– Establish rules/policies and SLAs for infrastructure group
– Establish and maintain appropriate access levels and permissions for environments
– Support the middleware stack by resolving escalated and technically complex trouble tickets assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
– Work closely with all team members to debug performance related problems and identify performance bottle necks
– Provide system and application debugging support as needed
– Proactively make recommendations and follow through to keep environments secure, up to date, and functional for intended user groups
Required knowledge and experience with the following:
– Previous management or lead experience
– Strong consulting and client management skills
– 10+ years of hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and administration of Solaris/Oracle Environments including:
o Solaris 10, with ZFS and Zones
o Oracle Weblogic Server 10gR3
o Oracle BPM
o Apache Webserver
o Tomcat
o Glassfish
