Manage IT Infrastructure projects, such as network infrastructure rollouts, upgrades and replacements, to store and corporate locations.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Develop, Monitor, Control and Own:
Constantly communicate project status to stakeholders
Own projects and be responsible for every decision and activity on the project
Work with cross functional project teams and align them to achieve the success of the project
Represent the IT organization to other business units and vendors
Proactively provide information to program manager to successfully manage project expectations.
Develop sound implementation plans meeting the project strategy, within the budget and timing constraints.
Work within Michaels Project Management Methodology/PMO including using online project management documentation software for tracking project and finances.
Monitor progress against plan proactively, with the use of MS Project and communicate variances.
Responsible for identifying subtle issues that could result in major risks.
5 years’ experience in implementation/project management of large multi-site, multi-task deployments.

o PMP (required)
o MCSE (optional)
o ITIL (optional)
o Expert at MS office suite
o Intermediate understanding of Network interconnectivity of LAN and WAN
o Intermediate understanding or Wired and Wireless Networks
o Intermediate understanding of Windows, Linux and Virtualized Server Environments
o Basic understanding of VoIP configurations and feature sets
o Ability to own and lead a project; take a project from just the name of the project all the way to successful completion under budget, schedule and meeting expected quality
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
o Ability to interface confidently and effectively with every level of the organization
o Ability to negotiate for internal and external resources including contract negotiations
o Strong Vendor Management skills
o Strong working relationship with both onshore and offshore Technical teams
o Effective communication skills; being able to communicate technical updates to the business effectively
o Ability to translate business requirement to technical requirements for the Technical teams
