PURPOSE & EXPECTATIONS The purpose of this position is to provide support to direct manufacturing activities in the form of mold set-up, auxiliary equipment set-up, and other duties as assigned. The Injection Technician is expected to perform all activities in a safe manner and ensure that their efforts provide a safe work environment for others. The Injection Technician is responsible for implementation of quality systems as identified in the Flambeau Inc., Madison GA Quality Manual and supporting documentation. There may be other duties and responsibilities expected that are too numerous and varied to describe in this format. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1. Transportation of molds to and from storage areas. 2. Set up and pulling of molds into injection presses, as defined by procedures. 3. Starting (cycling) of molding process on each machine. 4. Diagnosis (troubleshooting) of molding process problems. 5. Documentatin & taking corrective action on process problems. 6. Document activities related to processing set up, changes and variances. 7. Set up, break down and proper storage of auxiliary equipment. 8. Perform general maintenance activities on equipment. 9. Perform activities in a safe manner, ensuring that process operates in a safe manner. 10. Wipe down and general cleaning of molds, presses & other equipment and maintain good housekeeping in work areas. 11. Ability to drive forktruck and obtain license. 12. Maintain an acceptable attendance record. PHYSICAL DEMANDS 1. Sitting, standing or walking for periods up to three hours at a time. 2. Reaching, feeling, handling or grasping; twisting, turning and bending, sometimes in awkward body positions. 3. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling 100 pounds or less. 4. Ability to properly distinguish colors and shades of colors. 5. Working with various hand tools, power tools and machining equipment up to eight hours at a time. ENVIRONMENTAL & WORKING CONDITIONS 1. Inside work on manufacturing floor 2. Work with some lubricants or other chemicals. EQUIPMENT USED 1. Hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, hammers, ratchets and screwdrivers. 2. Fork truck. 3. Machining equipment such as lathe, mill, surface grinder. 4. Brass cavity tools. 5. Specialized/custom tools such as overhead crane. 6. Auxiliary equipment such as grinder, hot stamp machine, sonic welder, material dryer, pad printer, magnetizer, automatic assembly equipment, mold temperature controllers, part pickers, robots, etc.

Required Skills Ability to operate a folklift; Formal training or knowledge of injection molding processes; Working knowledge of molding resins ; Proven mechanical aptitude.

Required Experience Atleast 4 years experience as an InjectionTech in similar industry
