As a Lead Development Representative with Couchbase, you will be directly qualifying sales-ready leads for the sales team. You’ll be calling into some of the leading companies creating the next killer web-applications. You will be part of a sales team that has established Couchbase as the #1 selling NoSQL database in the world. You’ll work with large volumes of leads and selling the high level value proposition of our open-source database.

Job Responsibilities:
Prospect, qualify and develop leads

Perform outbound calling for lead generation

Manage inbound prospects and provide follow-up to marketing campaigns

Responsible for building sales/lead pipeline with qualified opportunities

Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections

Record all activity in SFDC and update records as necessary

Pass qualified opportunities and related information to the sales team to create an effective lead hand-off

Schedule and confirm introductory sales meetings for the sales team

Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity

College degree or equivalent work experience

Minimum 1-2 years of business or telesales experience (software sales a plus

Strong desire to be in Technology Sales

Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Strong problem-solving skills

High energy and positive attitude

Ability to take initiative

Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Prior experience with CRM a plus

Prior telephone sales experience a plus
