Perform qualify control inspection of finished wood product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Visually inspect wood as it leaves the cooling system for finishing defects in compliance with Company quality standards.
· Use lumber crayon to mark defects so damaged board(s) will be pulled from panel in boxing area.
· Notify line operator, lead, and shift supervisor if a defect appears repetitious.
§ Responsible for clean up of work area.
§ Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
§ Strong attention to detail.
§ In depth knowledge of company products.
§ Ability to work extended hours as required.
§ All other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
§ May work in other areas of the production line.
§ May instruct/train other employees on production line.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, write and speak clearly in English. Ability to present information to customers, clients, and other members of the organization.
Basic math skills; add and subtract.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
