Duties And Responsibilities
& Minimum Requirements:
The Institute Associate for Adaptation will work with the Center’s executive director and deputy director to conduct advanced research projects, outreach, and presentations, including:
•Conduct policy and legal research on relevant legislation and regulation (e.g., climate change adaptation, energy, and transportation policies).
•Represent the Center at conferences, dialogues, and events.
•Supervise RA research on relevant topics.
•Serve as a high-functioning team member with leadership responsibilities on adaptation.
•Identify and respond to opportunities for funding and outreach.
Advanced degree required; JD preferred. Minimum two years experience working on climate change issues related to planning or policy, research and analysis, or other relevant disciplines. Adaptation experience preferred. Academic and working knowledge of research topics and databases related to subject matter desired. Ability to develop presentations in Powerpoint required and some Excel or other graph- and map-making expertise preferred. Excellent research, as well as speaking and writing skills.
