Provide evidence-based instruction to special needs children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Prepare social, educational, and communication based instructional materials for classroom and community based experiences. Collect, record, evaluate and summarize daily, monthly and quarterly treatment data reports. Work collaboratively with staff, parents and students in the Rich Center for Autism programs.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field. Experience serving the special needs of children with autism. Requires ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels and to interact appropriately with special needs children. Clearly demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications
Special Education licensure preferred

JOB SUMMARY :

Provide evidence-based instruction to special needs children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Prepare social, educational, and communication based instructional materials for classroom and community based experiences. Collect, record, evaluate and summarize daily, monthly and quarterly treatment data reports. Work collaboratively with staff, parents and students in the Rich Center for Autism programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Provide evidence-based instruction to special needs students with autism.
2. Prepare instructional materials for classroom and community based activities.
3. Participate in evaluations and assessments of children with autism enrolled in the programs.
4. Maintain proper order and discipline in the classroom.
5. Assists in supervising outings.
6. Attend parent programs.
7. Attend staff meetings.
8. Assist with public relations events sponsored by the Rich Center for Autism.

OTHER FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED : None

REPORTS TO: Director, Associate Director of Programs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
