Reporting to the Assistant Director of Campus Technologies, this position will provide assistance and support to faculty and academic departments in the application of instructional and learning technologies; administer and coordinate campus responsibilities for Learning Management Systems (LMS) in support of faculty and students and in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) learning administration support and local administrative database support staff; test and evaluate products and applications associated with instructional development, and integrate technology software, hardware, and tools into the learning environment; coordinate & oversee the use of instructional technology tools, for example, lecture capture software and hardware, and mobile technology; solve problems for faculty and students regarding connectivity and instructional software/hardware applications; create training materials/self-help documents for faculty and student resources and provide training sessions as needed; serve as liaison to vendors for learning systems; work with PASSHE LMS technology staff and LMS helpdesk support; coordinate and supervise the efforts of other CT staff that support faculty use of instructional technology; and perform other related functions as assigned.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university; three years relevant experience in learning management systems and instructional technology design and completion of a successful campus interview. Additional qualifications: demonstrated awareness of the current trends and best practices in learning management systems and instructional technology design; excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstration of excellent computer technology skills, including the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with uploading content to data services; excellent organizational skills; ability to interpret learner needs; strong writing, editing, and visual design skills; project planning and time management skills; demonstration, through past accomplishments and actions, of the ability to support Mansfield University’s principles and values of Character, Scholarship, Culture, Service ( and the University’s strong student-centered vision and mission. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited university and extensive experience in LMS systems and instructional design. Other conditions of employment include verification of all earned degrees through the receipt of original transcripts and an acceptable background check report.

Essential Functions:
Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of constituent groups including students, university departments, staff, and faculty. Effective presentation skills to convey essential information to varied groups; capacity to work collaboratively and manage differences of opinion with respect; ability to use software application programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail; effective use of phone, keyboard and other office equipment; ability to make appropriate decisions independently and work productively on time-sensitive tasks with minimal direct supervision; ability to travel to the State System office, and appropriate conferences as requested; capacity to work cooperatively and productively with varied constituencies and cultural groups; and use of visual, auditory and speaking skills. May be required to lift, stand, walk, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, etc.

Job Status:
