This opportunity requires relocation to the company headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
• Design effective, concise, creative and high quality instructional e-learning materials for high school subjects (Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, English Language)
• Set instructional objectives and learning performances aligned with international curricular standards (IGCSE/ O Level)
• Collaborate and partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Multimedia Designers in the production of educational animations/infographics and interactive learning units
• Manage content review process which includes validating learning objectives, incorporating changes as needed and course effectiveness and ensuring final project deliverables are of the highest quality
• Help Creative Writers and SMEs to define and sequence the instructional content of learning modules
• Support the team in the visualization process (from Storyboard to graphics, animations and interactions)
• Improve the quality of visual and verbal explanations promoting a learner centred design approach
• Suggest meaningful interactions to improve retention, comprehension and problem solving skills
• Create and improve rapid prototyping tools (storyboard, visual layouts, interactions templates)
• Conduct appropriate in-house training workshops for SMEs, writers, Graphic Designers and programmers to improve team members’ skills and promote the dissemination of relevant knowledge
Job requirements for Instructional Designer : -
• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in any fields
• More than five (5) years of working experience in Instructional Content Design for the e-learning industry
• Have proven track records in researching content, working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and developing e-learning content modules
• Proficient in English, able to convey ideas and requirements verbally and in written form
• Creative with an eye for details and able to work independently
• Ability to work within a collaborative multicultural workforce demonstrating strong interpersonal and team work skills
