The Instructional Technology Blackboard Specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining the relationship between the faculty, staff and students and the Blackboard Learning Management System. This position is responsible for facilitating communication between Blackboard and the campus at large including: managing the relationship between the faculty and Blackboard, managing the relationship between the SIS feed developers and Blackboard and managing the training and professional development of all users. In addition this position is expected to provide assistance to the academic community in the selection, development, use and maintenance of
media and instructional technology and Web 2.0 applications consistent with the service and mission of Technology Services’ Faculty Technology Lab.
2 years of experience teaching users one-on-one or in a workshop setting required.
2 years of experience working with faculty to design technology-based pedagogy required.
3 years of managing a Learning Management System is required.
Minimum Required Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree preferred.
3 years of experience with graphic and multimedia development tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromedia Studio, PowerPoint, and database software is preferred.
3 years of higher education teaching experience strongly preferred.
