Overview:
The Insurance Biller posts radiology charges through a computerized data base system to patient accounts.
Responsibilities:
Posts radiology charges to patient accounts for proper billing and balances all charges to ensure correct data has been entered into the system.
Edits all patient demographics and insurance information to ensure correct account billing and works on Charge Report analysis and resolution.
Required to meet departmental quality and production standards.
Qualifications:
Previous experience with medical billing required.
Excellent alpha/numeric skills. Typing- at least 45 WPM
Proficient Computer skills- Excel (spreadsheets), internet usage (used for researching hospital systems, medical insurance plans), experience in Window applications.
Excellent general office skills- must be accurate, detail oriented, research oriented. Good organization skills.
Have some knowledge of coding, familiar with CPT and ICD-9 codes, and some medical terminology experience.
Experience with medical insurance plans.
Good customer service skills for internal and external custom
