Position Description:
Based on the area supported, the Insurance Clerk-payment will be responsible for all aspects of batching, posting payments, and document retention. The Insurance Clerk-payment is expected to maintain security for patients, customers and vendors to protect our customers HIPAA information. The Insurance Clerk- payment is to be on time, organized, detail oriented and able to work independently. Previous experience in a medical/insurance setting is highly preferred. The Insurance Clerk-payment must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment. Strong customer service skills are essential. Insurance Clerk-payment must verify transactions for completeness and accuracy. Strong data entry skills and accuracy are necessary for this position. Insurance Clerk-payment must be able to type 12,000 plus characters per hour with 95% accuracy. The Insurance Clerk-payment must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office Products.

Position Requirements:
High School or GED required

Type over 12,000 characters per hour with 95% accuracy required
Previous Healthcare Experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills:
Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize, Computer Systems, Organizational and Verbal Communication skills required. Analytical, Customer Relations, Grammar/Spelling, Mathematical, Medical Terminology, Microsoft Office and Operate Office Equipment skills preferred.
