Atkins seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Integrated Water Resources team in Roseville, CA as a Planner I. Under direct supervision, this person performs routine planning assignments while developing professional proficiency. Planning work may be related to land utilization, urban development, transportation, or environmental projects.
Typical duties and responsibilities of the job include:
Researches and analyzes technical data for studies and reports.
Develops preliminary site plans for residential, commercial, industrial, recreational or transportation uses.
Prepares maps, graphics, and final plans for presentations.
May be involved in analysis of specific integrated water resources projects.
Conducts land development, traffic, or environmental impact studies and writes technical portions reports.
May persform limited portions of a broader assignment of a more experienced planner, using prescribed methods.
Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
The appropriate qualified candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning or related degree. No experience required with Master's degree. Minimal experience required with Bachelors degree.
Good interpersonal skills and capable of developing technical writing and communication skills a must.
