This position has the responsibility to organize a large part of the New Product Development and System Integration of a research and development program. As a core member of a cross-functional project team, he / she will coordinate and support the planning and execution of different areas of the program: materials deliveries, development engineering documentation, initial product build and specifications, training of Operations and supplier personnel, test fixture specification and development.
Individual will be a leader in ensuring the manufacturability and serviceability aspects of the design reviews are supported throughout the design phases.
The Candidate will work with both project management and individual resources, including suppliers, to define and to drive the new product development. He / she will also work to identify and lead the resolution of any schedule, procedural, or design problems.
The candidate's overall responsibility will be to ensure that plans and progress meet the goals of the program.
Candidate should have all requisite skills to design/tolerance and assemble/test electro-optical subsystems/modules while handling multiple vendor interactions and internal/external design reviews.
Individual should have a well rounded background in manufacturing, service and engineering support functions. Electron beam system support as well as high voltage and high vacuum experience are a must.
Candidate must demonstrate track record of successful completion of internal project milestones and deliverables on time and with limited supervision. Knowledge of electro-optical assembly, and alignment techniques and protocols is highly desirable.
KLA-Tencor is seeking qualified applicants to work on assignments that are extremely complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in the build, test and debug of highly complex Electron Beam Lithography systems. The individual must have strong problem solving skills and the ability to make corrective action recommendations. The applicant must be able to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may supervise the activities of other non-exempt personnel. The position requires a minimum of an AA degree, advanced trade school training, military technical training or the equivalent experience in prototyping, testing and troubleshooting of analog and / or digital systems and the ability to utilize complicated drawings, mathematics, handbook formulas and a variety of precision instruments.
BS degree or equivilent experience.
