Open source intelligence analysis and exploitation in support of the Department of Homeland Security and its components by providing a range of intelligence and counterintelligence analysis and related services through the entire intelligence life cycle of collection, fusion, analysis, production, and dissemination as well as support to required intelligence training and tradecraft activities.
Works independently on complex problems involving all phases of intelligence and law enforcement analysis to provide strategic, operational, or tactical support to decision-making and response. Knowledge of one or more intelligence topics pertaining to Homeland Security including, but not limited to, counterterrorism, infrastructure, cybersecurity, counterdrug, travel, science, fluency in/active usage of languages used in the analytic intelligence and counterintelligence process, border security, and all phases of the intelligence cycle such as production and dissemination. May provide direction for personnel performing analysis tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, user standards, and progress in accordance with DHS analytic standards. Leads or participates in strategic, tactical, and operational level planning and management studies. Leads or participates in studies, assessments, administrative functions, program management, outreach, and acquisition support. Fluent in Spanish, DLPT 3-3.
Successful candidates will provide;
Open Source Intelligence and Info Analysis & Production Support, Counterintelligence Support, Analytic Tradecraft, Homeland Security Intelligence Training, Collection Requirements, Watchlisting, RFI Processing, Document Media Exploitation (DOMEX), Watch Operations
counter-IED efforts and operations executed by committed war fighting units
Top Secret clearance with DHS Suitability required
Position may require some TDY travel
Work will be performed in the National Capital Region and El Paso, Texas
Experience in Operations Planning and one or more Intelligence analysis discipline such as all source analysis, open source analysis, law enforcement analysis, homeland security analysis, counterterrorism, cyber security, counternarcotics, or counterintelligence analysis
Must meet one of the following education plus experience combinations:
*Bachelors Degree in a relevant field plus 8 or more years of relevant experience
*Masters or PhD Degree in a relevant field plus 7 more years of relevant experience
*PhD Degree in a relevant field plus 5 more years of relevant experience
Level 3 Language skills in Spanish
TS/SCI clearance is required(Current DHS suitability is preferred)
