The Counselor I is a Direct Service position which provides assistance and training to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. This position is designed to provide quality services to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities as guided by Positive Practices and Person Centered Planning. Is directly responsible to the Residential Supervisor and is expected to operate with considerable initiative and professionalism with all individuals. The counselor I serves as a member of the interdisciplinary Team and is involved in the planning of services for the individuals. This counselor 1 position is a shared position with Norwich CLA and Ross ATF. Staff will work 6 – 12 hours per week at Ross ATF and the remaining hours at the Norwich CLA. Staff will report directly to the Supervisor at Norwich. Staff will be expected to relocate as needed to meet minimum staffing needs for each site. In the event of unforeseeable emergencies, staff may be required to stay until relief arrives.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or GED and requires valid drivers license.

Work Schedule:

Hours teneatively are sunday 3p-10:30p. mondays & tuesdays 4p-10:00 ( either of these 2 days can switch to ross day time if needed), friday at Ross ATF 8:30a-2:30p saturday Norwich 10a-10p.
