Community Innovations is seeking a dynamic person for an Intensive In-Home Specialist Qualified Professional (IIHS-QP).
Under the direction of the licensed team leader, the specialist works to prevent out-of-home placement or to successfully transition the child back into the family's home. By using individual or family focused interventions, community resources, and parenting-skills training, services promote child-family connectivity. The IIHS Specialist works directly with parents and children providing planned and specific clinical interventions.
This is a full time salaried position. - Located in Brunswick County- will possibly cover New Hanover and Columbus County
All Non-Licensed Mental Health Care Worker staff that work with Intensive In Home Services must have one year of full time experience with children that have a mental health or substance abuse diagnosis (2080 hours). This experience can have been gained at any time pre or post degree (internships, volunteer experience, etc.) In addition you must meet Community Innovations Credentialing standards as a Qualified Professional.
1) BS/BA in a non-Human Services field plus 4 years total of full time supervised post-bachelor work in mental health or substance abuse.
2) BS/BA in a Human Services field (Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling) plus 2 years total of mental health or substance abuse which must have been full time supervised post-bachelor work.
3) MS/MA degree in a Human Services field (Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling) plus 1 year (2080 hours) total of full time supervised post-graduate work in mental health or substance abuse.
4) A license (full or provisional) issued by a NC governing board regulating a Human Service profession.
