Bachelor’s degree or meet Associate Professional or Qualified Professional status requirements; must have a minimum of one (1) year documented clinical mental health work experience with population (at risk children and families).
Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field with two years, post degree experience with population served (at risk youth) preferred or Master’s Degree in a Human Services field with one year post degree experience with population served (at risk youth).
Must deliver services in various environments, such as homes, schools, detention centers and jails (state funds only), homeless shelters, street locations, etc.; diffuse crises, evaluate nature of crises, and intervene to reduce the likelihood of a recurrence; ensure linkage to needed community services and resources; arrange, coordinate, and monitor other services on behalf of the individual; monitor and manage the presenting psychiatric and/or addiction symptoms; provide self-help and living skills training for youth; provide mental health treatment for the youth or other family members as directed by the Team Leader; provide parenting skills training to help the family build skills for coping with the youth’s disorder; work with caregivers in the implementation of home-based behavioral supports.
